Kirkland offers a wonderful opportunity to live in a smaller, safer environment, and still have big city nightlife and opportunity just around the corner. Kirkland offers a variety of unique and well-branded shopping experiences. And, of course, there's Seattle just down the street. The combination of shopping opportunities available in the area is colossal, and sure to be pleasing to even the most discriminating shopper. Kirkland has always been a city rich in pride. It has slowly become one of the best places anywhere to raise a family. With a low crime rate, the streets of Kirkland are generally safe and secure. The public education system is extremely solid. The Lake Washington School District #414 over-sees over 51 schools, and serves the educational needs of over 12,000 students. There is a very low student-to-teacher ratio in the classrooms, providing students with an excellent learning environment. Overall, the schools rate very highly and provide an excellent educational opportunity for those who attend them.
In addition, there are two colleges in the area. The Lake Washington Technical College
has an enrollment of 2,328 and hosts some of the best professors in the nation. The
Northwest College of the Assemblies of God is a non-profit college with an enrollment
of 1,000 students. Each of these schools offers a diverse set of curriculums.
